Steph Reynolds

Director of Optimus Education

Steph is the Director of Optimus Education. She began her career within the education industry in 2008. Steph contributes to all areas of the business, ensuring that Optimus Education products focus on good outcomes for pupils to support improvement within education, as well as improving the work life balance of teachers and school staff. The importance of wellbeing and mental health is at the core of Optimus Education and this is reflected in all services and products within the Optimus Education portfolio.

Jen Delderfield

Events Business Development Manager

Jen Delderfield is our Events Business Development Manager. She joined Optimus Education in 2008, where she began her career within employment and skills event project management. She is passionate about creating inspirational events to change lives, account management and leading the delivery of commercial project strategies.

Lisa Reece

Operations Team Leader

Lisa is an Operations Team Leader, she joined Optimus Education in December 2019. Before joining the business, Lisa gained 15 years of previous experience in organising the operational element of conferences and events.

Charlotte Vowles

Operations Support Officer

Charlotte has been with Optimus Education since 2016 where she started her role as Visitor Liaison. She moved into the operation’s team in 2021 where she has been using her previous skills as a Stage Manager to move into the conference and events sector. Charlotte primarily works on our Skills Events, sourcing contractors, features and liaison with venues, and is passionate about ensuring young people have a meaningful experience at our events. This means producing new ideas on how to improve our events by adding new features and activities. 

Craig Cahill

Sales and Project Team Leader

Craig is the Sales and Project Team Leader within the Events Department. He joined the Optimus Education sales team in 2018. Before joining the business, Craig gained over ten years of experience in employer engagement with local and national education providers.

Denise Thomas

Customer Services Team Manager 

Customer service lead, Denise has previously worked for a large FE and HE college as a PA to a senior manager before joining the Optimus Education team.

Gill Rowe

Event Account Executive 

Gill Rowe is a Sales Executive, she joined Optimus Education in 2015. Gill has contributed towards the success of past Skills London events and now focuses on Skills Scotland. Gill enjoys building relationships with exhibitors and helping them to promote their opportunities. She is passionate about inspiring young people to make informed decisions early in their career.

Simon Clark

Sales Executive 

As a Sales Executive for Optimus Education, Simon enjoys interacting with our clients and building awareness of the events we deliver.  Before joining the team, Simon was an Executive Assistant to the Senior Leadership Team within Shaw Trust supporting the CFO, COO, CPO and the Shaw Trust Foundation.


Megan Hughes

Visitor Attendance Coordinator

Megan is our Visitor Attendance Coordinator. A new member of the team with a wealth of experience in events management, administration and customer service, Megan is responsible for recruiting visitors to attend our Skills Events and liaise with schools to manage the booking process for attendees, including making arrangements for additional accessibility requirements.

Deborah Taylor-Pitkin

Visitor Attendance Liaison 

Debbie has joined the Events team from the Customer Services Department where she has previously worked on the School Impact Awards since she joined Optimus Education in September 2022.  Debbie has worked in local government administration and customer service roles for the last 20 years.  Debbie assists in recruiting visitors to attend the Skills Events and provides help with our booking process.

Rebecca Mendl

Junior Events Project Manager

Rebecca is a new member of our team, joining us as a Junior Events Project Manager. Rebecca has a wealth of events management, marketing and client management experience. Rebecca is passionate about helping young people find exciting career opportunities whilst building relationships with employers and helping them find the stars of the future. 


Hannah Bartlett

Marketing Executive

Hannah is our Marketing Executive and joined Optimus Education in 2022. Hannah has a degree in photography and experience working in the creative and corporate sector. Hannah is responsible for our event communications and strives to ensure we at Optimus Education are creating engaging content for exhibitors and visitors of our events.
